Helldivers 2 Leak Teases Return of a Terminid Enemy

The latest Helldivers 2 leak suggests that the Impaler from the first game will be added to the enemy lineup in the future. Helldivers 2 features an extensive roster of enemies, each having unique skills and attributes. These creatures belong to Terminid and Automaton factions, occupying planets within the galaxy. In order to liberate planets and defend the Super Earth, players must go up against both armies.

The purpose of Helldivers 2 is to spread Managed Democracy throughout the galaxy and liberate planets from invaders. The beloved co-op shooter features Major Orders, community-wide challenges that require players to eliminate enemies within a specified time. Once a Major Order is achieved, players receive Medals or Requisitions, which can be used to unlock weapons, armor, and stratagems.

A new Helldivers 2 leak from IronS1ghts, who previously leaked in-game models of Illuminate enemies, has suggested that the Impaler from the first game would be returning. As per the leaker, this behemoth was recently added to the files within the latest patch. The in-game model for the Impaler isn't available yet, but it will probably surface online as soon as it appears in the files.

Impalers From Helldivers Are Due To Return

Impalers in Helldivers are dangerous bugs that dig their heads into the ground and use their front tentacles to attack from a distance. They emerge from the ground to catch players off-guard and deal damage. These tanky behemoths have a heavily armored front section, requiring players to aim at their faces that are exposed when digging their heads. Like other Terminid enemies in Helldivers 2, they are vulnerable to fire damage.

Helldivers 2's Terminid faction consists of bug-like creatures that perform melee attacks. They usually use their claws to deal damage, and some of them are pretty speedy. Each Terminid enemy has a skill that punishes players if they are caught off-guard. For example, Bile Spewers fire acidic biles from a distance, while Chargers rush toward players to deal knockback damage. Fortunately, these mobs are vulnerable to Fire damage and less tanky than Helldivers 2's Automaton enemies.

Speaking of enemy armies, recent Helldivers 2 leaks suggest the Illuminate faction will arrive in the game soon. This faction will reportedly have an extensive roster of creatures, including Obelisk, Pathfinder, Summoner, Outcast, and Illusionist, that utilize unique skills. According to leaks, some Illuminate enemies can fire projectiles, call for allies, and dish out Fire damage. More information about the upcoming faction should be revealed soon.
