Snapchat's 2024 Year in Review: Your Snap Recap
Looking back on the year? Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap feature makes it easy. This new addition to the app, similar to Spotify Wrapped and Twitch recaps, offers a fun, if somewhat random, summary of your year on the platform.
What is a Snap Recap?
Unlike other year-in-review features that focus on detailed statistics, Snap Recap presents a curated selection of your Snaps – one for each month of 2024. It’s a nostalgic journey through your year, not a performance review of your Snapchat activity. The recap seamlessly integrates with the Memories feature, allowing you to explore further flashbacks from previous years.
How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap
Accessing your Snap Recap is simple. On the main camera screen, swipe upwards to open Memories. You'll find your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.
Tap the recap video (avoiding the share icon) to begin. The slideshow of selected Snaps plays automatically, though you can tap the screen to advance. You can save, edit, share, or even add your recap to your Story. Like other Snaps, it remains private unless you choose to share it.
Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?
If your 2024 Snap Recap is missing, don't panic. Snapchat confirms a staggered rollout, so yours might still be in progress. The frequency of your Snap usage also plays a role; infrequent use may prevent a recap from being generated. Unfortunately, Snapchat support doesn't offer a way to request a recap if it doesn't appear.
