Destiny Child is Reborn: A New Idle RPG from Com2uS
Destiny Child, the popular mobile game, is making a triumphant return! Initially launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, the game is being revived by Com2uS, taking over development from ShiftUp.
A Fresh Take on a Classic
This isn't just a re-release; Com2uS is developing a brand-new Destiny Child game, an idle RPG helmed by their subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio (creators of Arcana Tactics). While retaining the beloved aesthetic of the original—its charming 2D characters and emotional core—the new game will feature entirely new gameplay mechanics.
Remembering the Original
The original Destiny Child captivated players with its adorable characters and dynamic real-time battles. Following its closure after nearly seven years, ShiftUp released a memorial version allowing players to revisit the game's stunning character art.
This memorial app, accessible only to players with pre-shutdown accounts (requiring verification), offers a nostalgic trip down memory lane. While battles are unavailable, players can still appreciate the beautiful illustrations and fondly remember their Childs and their classes.
